The famous night club ”Park Lane” in collaboration with Göteborg Jazz Orchestra and Wauxhall Jazz sets a new standard for jazz in Göteborg.

HILDEGUNN ØISETH -the Norwegian trumpet player has developed her own technique for the traditional Norwegian instrument, the buckhorn. This has opened doors for a more virtuosic playing of the traditional instrument. She draws inspiration also from various regions after many trips and longer stays in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

She is often a soloist with major jazz orchestras and big bands such as the Swiss Jazz Orchestra, Trøndelag Big Band, Bergen Big Band, etc. Hildegunn is a professor at the Grieg Academy in Bergen and holds a course in jazz improvisation.
She has released 7 solo albums

GÖTEBORG JAZZ ORCHESTRA is one of the most exciting movements in Swedish jazz. The big band has made a rocket career and in a short time established on the highest level. In their love to music they always look for new expressions and they attract collaborations with the best musicians – domestic and abroad. They often reach over the genre barriers with new formats. The first Monday every month Göteborg Jazz Orchestra performs under the motto ”Jazz is fun!” GJO promotes jazz music in Göteborg, always plays great music, encouraging young talents and presents interesting guests and themes!
