My Quiet Companion

How to write songs? Where do the ideas come from? And can you write about anything?

My Quiet Companion likes to meet a pure concert audience, but has also worked a lot with school students, from year 7 up to high school and folk high school. Here we can offer a specially designed concert program aimed at those who are interested in how to build a creative process - collective or individual creation - and with songwriting as a special focus.

Workshop:  For those who wish, a workshop can be organized in connection with the concert. Here you get to take part in method and practice in text and music writing. Depending on prior knowledge, we find the right way to go and tailor a workshop that fits. The goal is for everyone to have the opportunity and opportunity to try their creative wings, if the desire and will are there. With the aim of creating a song together, either in smaller groups or collectively, we act as a sounding board and "instrument" and capture the ideas that the group comes up with. We have, among other things, worked with aesthetic students at various high schools in Västra Götaland as well as with grades 7-9 at schools in Eskilstuna Municipality (in collaboration with Scenkonst Sörmland).

Concert program / Songwriting workshop (for grades 7-9 / high school / folk high school) can be carried out within the framework of the Creative School.
