An ode to one of our most popular composers and musicians: Georg Riedel

Vocalist Matilda and pianist Olimpia have played together for 7 years in different constellations. Together, they form a duo that, in close interaction and with a unique feeling for lyrical arrangements, find their way into the audience's interior, they strike a chord with their musical presence. The duo is now current with the program "Do you know Riedel?".

Georg Riedel, who passed away in 90 at the age of 2024, was one of our most popular composers and musicians who, in his artistry, gave rise to a large and extensive treasure of songs. There, Matilda and Olimpia have found music that may not be on everyone's lips, but which is beautiful, whimsical and pleasant to listen to. With Swedish texts and melodies that move between wise and jazz, music is presented that Riedel was touched in one way or another – as a composer, arranger or musician. The repertoire ranges from Georg Riedel's classics to more modern poetic jazz works as well as arrangements of texts by other famous composers and poets such as Cornelis Vreesvijk and Thomas Tranströmer.

The program Do you know Riedel? is played and can be booked in the years 2024 and 2025.
