Sax trio with inspiration from the jazz 60s, liberation and Nordic sound.

Saxtrion Mappe3 was created out of the need to be as true as possible to one's own artistic expression. To be interrelated and comfortable with each other to the point that one can push the boundaries and that we as a collective follow the idea and impulse that leads the music. Giving great artistic freedom and space to the musicians to express their voice, and making decisions that the musician feels best benefits the music at that moment. The written music partly takes its expression from jazz in the 60s and the liberation that happened then, but also has a strong connection to Swedish jazz history and the Nordic sound. A balance between liberation and melancholy.
