Songs in a pop twist: naked lyrics, swing and melancholy
Via Ekberg From Gothenburg, with roots in Småland is the musical artist who switched to songwriter and vispoet. Debut EP with own material – All the Small Details came in 2013, and with it in her luggage she has traveled around and played in Sweden, USA, Denmark, Germany, England, Ireland and Greenland. In the summer of 2017, she did a solo tour by train from Portland to Los Angeles.
Right now, Fia is current with Bangatan – her first full-length album, entirely in Swedish
(Kakafon Records). The album was awarded the manifesto prize for Årets visa 2022. They are songs about loving, growing old and existing. About daring to look for love again, a second, third time. About wanting to live so that one breaks before it ends. About parenting, and powerlessness. About being so angry that you want to fight. And to long for belonging and reconciliation.
In the spring of 2023, Fia will premiere the concert performance: Vackrare nu- a confession, which is based on the songs from the same album, as well as Fia's personal mid-life reflections.
Warmth, laughter and crying. A loving thoughtful tribute to growing older, wiser and more beautiful.
Fia moves freely with her guitar between delicious pop and heartbreaking songs with elements of blues, spoken word and cabaret. Everyday realism and grand longing are allowed to fall freely together.

In addition to the solo project, Fia plays with the trio My Quiet Companion She was also part of the project: Go on - A hiking tour 2019 (with the singers Anna Döbling, Anna Wirsén and Lolita Ray) and has played musical theater for children (production Big Little with the musical theater group I'm here now). She also collaborates with a number of songwriters continuously in various co-writing projects.
When Fia is not playing herself, she runs the singer/songwriter line at Löftadalen's folk high school in Åsa, Halland, is a guest teacher on various courses (eg HSM Gothenburg, Hidden Creek Song-writing Camp, Oregon) and holds courses privately.
