Evelyn Gillespie is an alter ego. A completely new-born adult, full of experience but without baggage. She says exactly what she thinks, only does what she thinks is fun and only sings her own songs. She doesn't know what a plan B is, takes no direction and she only gets prettier with age. She makes music because she feels good and because she has something to say. She makes songs for courage, authenticity and faith in the future. Her first album "The World's Greatest Man" was released last fall and the follow-up "The Girl Who Never Gets Afraid" is released in February. Swing is interspersed with thoughtfulness. Gillespie's message is simple: We need to stop being so afraid of everything. Fear is often irrational and resides in our heads. Live as you wish. Say what you think. Be who you are.
