This appealing singer-songwriter dives into the world of music from the sidelines with a delicate aura that can only be rooted in strength. Born and raised in Sweden with roots in Turkey, the charm makes itself heard and attracts.

Her debut EP “Wait Now” which was released at the end of 2017 permeates genuineness combined with bare melancholy. The 70s with their folk tones are reminded, acoustic guitars try to find solace in the lyrics, all while the listener is given an opportunity to gain an insight into another world. Derya is currently up to date with his debut album which will be released at the end of 2023. The success is already great as two of the singles, 'Cold' and 'Broken' are played at P4 Stockholm. Derya has an ability to capture the listener's innermost need to freely express their thoughts and feelings. Maybe it's the peculiar voice, maybe the naked presence in the soundscape... One thing is certain, a heartfelt longing to just be takes place in the music, nothing in excess but also not in apologetic silence.
