Dear Someone

Strong influences from americana and country but with roots in Hälsningland.

Dear Someone is the singer and songwriter Emelie Junsten. She grew up in Hälsingland but has been from Gothenburg for 20 years. For several years she was a singer in the band Downtown Ramblers, a bluegrass band that was successful in both Sweden and Europe. Dear Someone stands with one foot in the country and americana but the other is firmly in the pop. It's around the lyrics, like  is about the longing for life and finding a home, in which the music revolves and begins.

Newly released song November 2022 - "Hey Sister"
This is what Emelie Junsten says about the new release: It started in frustration that I saw several people in my vicinity who were on sick leave with fatigue syndrome. My sister eventually became one of those who went into the wall. Too much at work and at home and life did not go together. I wanted to write a song with an encouragement to all women who struggle in everyday life: What is your song? What's on your mind?
