It all started a few years ago, when Anna Heikkinen traveled to Karelia, following in the footsteps of her grandparents. She was seized by the desire to immerse herself in Finnish culture – and sing Finnish tango! Together with accordionist Larisa Ljungkrona-Mönttinen, saxophonist Ida Gillner and cellist Jonas Franke-Blom, she delivers music that tells of loss, longevity and the joy of being.
