On May 12, we invite you to an office gig at MCV's own office at Musikens Hus! The band is called doggerland and they swing past us on their way to the ferry on their Germany tour for a hearty little gig. We also take the opportunity to interview them on the topic "How the hell do you book a tour in the middle of a pandemic?

Apply for the Cultural Council's restart support - deadline tomorrow 4 May

Tomorrow is the last day for applying for restart support from the Swedish Arts Council! The restart grant is aimed at companies and organizations that carry out professional cultural activities or that conduct promotional activities in the cultural field. It will support a restart of cultural life after the effects that the covid-19 pandemic has had on the cultural industry.

On April 20-22, it's time for the showcase festival Nordic Folk Alliance in Gothenburg! MCV is now handing out a limited number of guest list places - it's first come first served!

On Wednesday, MCV together with RFOD, Bilda and Folkmusikens Hus invites you to an industry breakfast and mingling! This is an excellent opportunity to network and make new contacts in the international folk music sphere. NOTE, pre-registration required!


The festival also offers a packed conference program with speed coaching and other exciting features! Meet our business manager Karin Inde in one of the panels, on the subject Artist Development - about the steps in an artist's career and what is good to think about along the way.

Nordic Folk Alliance is a conference and showcase festival for musicians, artists, bookers and delegates in folk music and roots with a focus on Nordic music. Live music, seminars and networking are on the schedule and delegates are invited from all over the world! Nordic Folk Alliance is arranged by the Administration for Cultural Development, ExMS, MCV, Gothenburg & co and others.

Reminder: Kickoff for this year's Restart me booking April 25th!

On April 25 at 18.30-20.00 opens the MCV doors (digitally) with a kickoff to this year's round of the project Restart me - booking! This year the focus is on booking and we aim for sales, launch and international exports.

What challenges do you face during the booking process?
How do you get on your feet after the pandemic?
How do you really get away and play abroad?

All MCV members are welcome to attend this digital seminar where we briefly present the Restart Me project, which you can apply for now and until 29 April. We meet our two project inspirers in booking - Johan Karlberg and Maria Rylander! These eminent bookers and organizers have long and solid experience in the music industry when it comes to booking, organizing, management and what it takes to keep the live piece alive.

Apply for the Cultural Council's restart grant!

The call has now opened, of the Cultural Council's restart grant of 659 million.

Individual musicians / artists can not apply for this, BUT you who work collectively in a group or in an association can apply!

The restart grant is aimed at companies and organizations that carry out professional cultural activities or that conduct promotional activities in the cultural field and must support a restart of cultural life according to the effects that the covid-19 pandemic has had on the cultural industry.

Registration of interest to participate in the tender catalog Barnkultur Öst

In November, the digital, regional supply catalog was launched Children's culture East - with cultural activities aimed at children in Östergötland from preschool to high school. Children's culture East should be a link between professional culture creators, organizers and children and young people.

As a cultural actor, you can register your interest in participating in the regional cultural offer for children and young people. Registration of interest refers to all or parts of 2023 and must be submitted no later than 1 May.
