New Swedish folk music with both violin and full accompaniment section

VÄDUR is a folk music band consisting of four young skilled instrumentalists who together have established themselves as one of the exciting new bands on the Swedish folk music scene. With roots in Nordic folk music, the members compose their own material with influences from, among other things, jazz and classical music. With interwoven tonal identities and communicative rhythmic focus, they create music with both swing and core.

VÄDUR has previously played concerts in both Sweden and Denmark, and last summer they completed an acclaimed tour of Sweden where they played at venues including Rönnels Antikvariat and Anundsjö Spelmansstämma. VÄDUR will release their debut album, Gamla vägen 3, in February 2025. The band also has a great interest in playing to dance and has good experience in combining their concerts with playing to dance.
