Trio Törn

The trio experiments with violin, cello and harpsichord and tests the limits of tradition.
"This combination of incredibly talented musicians has resulted in compositions that are out of this world." - Music magazine Lira
With the arrangement of violin, cello and harp, Trio Törn constantly experiments with the possibilities of the instruments and tests the limits of tradition. As the trio sets the tone, a mix of colorful melodies, captivating harmonies, unbridled swing and soulfulness emerges – all in a living unity. With their own compositions, strongly rooted in Nordic folk music, Trio Törn is a chamber musical meeting where whimsical waltzes, swinging Scots and heavy Polish songs are dressed in well-thought-out arrangements and where the interaction and the potential of the instruments take center stage.
Trio Törn released their first album "Debut" in the summer of 2018. The album was named in the top five of the list of best folk music releases in 2018 by the magazine Lira. In autumn 2018, they received the Royal Academy of Music's ensemble scholarship. Trio Törn is now current with their second album "Painting with polska".
