Trio ROP

Newly written music inspired by the vocal folk tradition.

Trio Rop is a folk-vocal trio with one foot in the world of traditional singing and one foot in the contemporary music tradition. With texts that deal with current and general human subjects, they search for a popular expression in which they can reflect themselves and which attracts a new audience. In 2022, they played, among other things, at Korröfestivalen, Norrköping's folk music festival and at Barnens scen during Malmö folk.

"When I heard Trio's cry for the first time, it went all the way into the soul. I was not familiar with folk music before, but through the trio's modern interpretation of folk music, they opened the door for me to a whole new genre.”

Trio Rop does well at festivals and stages with a jazz, show or folk & world music focus. Cafes, libraries and the like are also suitable. But it is beneficial to have a sitting and listening audience because of the heartfelt nature of the music.
