Surrender Dorothy

Surrender Dorothy creates an independent and timeless swamp turn but also allows itself to explore a more ambient landscape.
Multi-instrumentalist and composer Jenny Lundin creates music under the name Surrender Dorothy and together with some of Gothenburg's most eminent musicians they manage to make music that oozes confidence, unconscious style security and playfulness. There is no anxiety at all about having the "right" sound.
Heavy bass passages mingle with ragged guitar riffs and sloppy drumming. A crystal clear voice gets an extra dimension of a dirty comp… Music journalist Olle Berggren (Expressen / Kvällposten) draws parallels between Surrender Dorothy´'s music and Sheryl Crow as well as John Hiatt and Ry Cooder. Regardless, Surrender Dorothy creates a timeless swamp turn and manages to enchant young and old.
There are far too many gray-bearded old men out there mumbling that rock'n'roll would be on ice. Nothing could be more wrong. It's just that Jenny, a musicologist from Gothenburg, has seized the best riffs, the most swinging band and the most beautiful songs.
