Smoke Rings Sisters

Smoke Rings Sisters

HOT JAZZ. COOL SONGS. PURE FUN.

The Smoke Rings Sisters (Stina Klintbom, Sara Ljunggren and Theresa Skjolden) bring Charleston, jazz and swing from the 1920s-1960s to life with chorus, audience contact and lots of joy.

The vision is to create a crackling overall experience with everything from the fantastic music to the purely visual with fashionable, contemporary clothes and choreographies. They want to be a true time capsule for their audience.

Smoke Rings Sisters can be booked with the band The Dixe Dan Band, but can also be booked with a pianist / guitarist or a big band.

SOME OF OUR PERFORMANCES:

That Swing thing:

A performance in two acts with the entire time journey from 20s Charleston via World War II stars The Andrews Sisters to 50s Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra. Some songs from warmer latitudes also appear, as well as the group's own swing versions of modern radio hits! Music from the EP That Swing Thing can be found at the top right of this page.

Sweden Swings:

A concert around our Swedish jazz legends such as Alice Babs, Monica Zetterlund, Povel Ramel and Sonya Hedenbratt. All in newly written, three-part arrangements.

Swing it Sisters:

Swinging jazz history with a focus on the women who dared to make their voices heard. About Peggy Lee, Marilyn Monroe, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and others.

A Swingin' Christmas with the Smoke Rings Sisters:

The very best of both the Swedish and American Christmas repertoire from the golden years of jazz and swing. Humorous, swinging and atmospheric!
