On y va Ensemble

On y va Ensemble

Piano trio with roots in classical music, but the heart of the tango and the head up in the clouds…

On y va Ensemble is the trio that found freedom and a break from the rules of Western art music in Astor Piazzolla's tango nuevo. Classically trained and with a love for the stage, the group has developed its own approach and sound. It is wide, big and alive. An intense interplay in unconventional arrangements and constant development.

Concert program:

The city of love

What do a tango king, a broken sparrow and a lone waitress have in common? Join us on a musical escape to reality to the Paris of dreams where anything can happen! Classical chamber music is placed next to Piazzolla's early works and the magical film music from "Amelie from Montmarte". In addition, several of Edith Piaf's earrings can be heard in new playful arrangements where toy piano and melodies mingle with the traditional instruments.

Sibelius dances tango

In a tribute to Jean Sibelius, we have created a fictional character inspired by the Jean of reality and placed him in our musical landscape of Argentine tango. We get to take part in the composer's thoughts through the ages - around life, art and nature but also self-doubt and hubris. The repertoire ranges from as yet unpublished works to the well-known Valse Triste.

On y va ensemble is:
