Michalis Ilis

Composer / Music Composer, Conductor in Symphony Orchestra and Classical Guitar Soloist with a wide repertoire.

Michalis Ilis grew up in a musical family with a great love for art and music.
His grandfather, Pavlos Liasidis, was a well-known poet in Cyprus.

He began his musical journey as a member of the school choir at the age of six and he continued with many different styles and instruments until today.
After a long period of music education, studies on many instruments, music composition and music orchestration in Greece and England, he became conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra, music composer and soloist for classical guitar.

Michalis has composed music in various styles, piano music (sonatas, themes and variations), several orchestral works (2 symphonies), and two musical dramas.

He has collaborated and conducted theaters and choirs and he has also conducted his own musical drama "1821, the revolution in Cyprus" with his own symphonic orchestra (Youth Symphonic Orchestra), with choir and actors.

His last musical composition is a MUSICAL DRAMA inspired by "TIMON OF ATHENS" by William Shakespeare!

As a guitarist, he has performed as a soloist in Europe and Canada. Characteristic of Michali's play is the ability to highlight the pieces in a tasteful and sensitive way, combined with brilliant tone, technique and interpretation.
