Michalis Ilis

Classical guitarist and composer with a wide repertoire.

Michalis Ilis grew up in a musical family with a great love for art and music.
His grandfather, Pavlos Liasidis, was a well-known poet in Cyprus.

He began his musical journey as a member of the school choir at the age of six and he continued with many different styles and instruments until today.
After a long period of music education, studies on many instruments, music composition and music orchestration in Greece and England, he became conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra, soloist for classical guitar and music composer.

Michalis has composed music in different styles, piano music (sonatas, themes and variations), several orchestral works (2 symphonies), and a musical drama.

He has collaborated and conducted theaters and choirs and he has also conducted his own musical drama "1821, the revolution in Cyprus" with his own symphonic orchestra (Youth Symphonic Orchestra of Larissa in Greece), with choir and actors.

As a guitarist, he has performed as a soloist in Europe and Canada. Characteristic of Michali's play is the ability to highlight the pieces in a tasteful and sensitive way, combined with brilliant tone, technique and interpretation.
