Markatta provides you with interactive musical theater performances for children (4-10 years).

Markatta performs for children in the borderland music / dance / movement / theater. They mostly write lyrics and music themselves, but they also use traditional material such as folk music and rhymes. The group has been around since 1991, and over the years they have toured all over Sweden and have also collaborated with orchestras in e.g. Stockholm and Gothenburg. They are all trained rhythm educators. and works as educators and artists in various contexts, including in the Singing Ensemble Amanda, Simbi, ZigZag, Tetra and others. The trio also collaborates with Adama Cissokho - one of Senegal's foremost bearers of the griot tradition.

UNDER THE RAINBOW
Under the Rainbow is Markatta's own Thought Forge where we turn & twist words & tones and give shape to what is abstract.

And it happened at that time when the days got darker & darker and the nights longer & longer that there was an order that the whole world should be invited to a big party in the Nordics to celebrate the return of the sun. Will they arrive on time?
