From sheer whispers to big power ballads

Maria is a singer and composer where all creation starts from the song and the heart. With watchwords such as sincerity, honesty and vulnerability constantly present in text and music, she wishes to offer the listener another world for a moment, a safe place to travel between thoughts and feelings. Acoustic instruments are mixed with electronic soundscapes where everything from clear whispers to big power ballads can take place. The music carries traces of improvisational allusions to jazz, pure sounds from the classical world and structural elements from pop music - always with the voice as the hub.

She likes to move between genres and expressions and therefore appears in many different contexts and projects. Among other things, she has collaborated with the Gothenburg Wind Orchestra, Bohuslän Big Band, Lena Willemark, Vilhelm Blomgren and Lindha Kallerdahl, has been a member of the Danish Pernille Rosendahl and has been a soloist at the Midsummer Concert on SVT. 2021 saw the debut album Take My Yoke and in 2023 the EP If I Broke was released.

The group plays both as a trio and a quartet. The trio format consists of vocals, piano and bass.
