With song and music, rhythm and movement, a room is created where anything is possible and anything can happen. (3-5 years, 6-9 years, special primary school)

Gira is a touring group that makes scenic, interactive musical performances for and with children all over the country. The performances are based on songs and the desire to sing together. We have a great treasure trove to pour out, but we also create new songs with inspiration from children's thoughts, experiences and dreams. We let the children's words take place in our performances. Through workshops for educators and creative school projects, we share our desire to sing, play and create.

Audio files and notes on songs and rhymes included in the performance are sent out in advance. Because the children and educators sing, play and listen long before the show, they can make the songs their own. Everyone is prepared, recognizes the songs and can participate in the performance in a way that makes them feel safe and have a positive shared experience. The songs can live on and become part of the preschool / school's song treasure.

CATCH EVERY FALLING STAR (primary school's F class or adapted primary school)

Catch every shooting star, put it in your pocket, it might be good to have, save it for a rainy day…

A performance in the small about the big. About stars and planets, about the sun and the moon, about you and me. Catch each shooting star is played in ring form. Children and adults meet in song, play, movement and interaction where everyone can participate in a meaningful way.

BE A FRIEND (primary school's F class or adapted primary school)

BE A FRIEND played in ring form. Everyone is involved and creates the show where everything is possible and everything can happen. A large colorful parachute frames the common stage area. The room is filled with singing and music, fun instruments, swinging shawls and a juggling chef making pancakes. Are you hungry?

When we sing and play together, we can get closer to each other for a little while, and that creates both joy and community.

The following performances also work well as family performances.

THE KILLIMONK (3-6 years)

A mischievous and playful all-singing show about dance-hungry feet, shoes that have ended up on the wrong foot, a hundred dogs that go for a walk, small bicycles that go around, rattles and pings and the night that pulls its star blanket over us.

THE PARTY (3-6 years)

In the performance Kalaset, young and old are invited to fun songs, surprises and cozy mischief. It bubbles and mills, swings and swings. Everyone can be filled with the joy of singing and dancing together. HURRAY HURRAY HURRAY!

SUDDENLY (3-6 years, adapted primary school, 6-9 years)

HUX FLUX is an all-singing performance with speed and fanfare that we do together with our audience. The songs may be new to many, but they are simple, swinging and invite participation. Several of the songs in the performance are written by children at schools in Angered. There are small and large views of life. Every day can be an adventure…

Cultural agency Gira has been around since 2010 and consists of:  Anna Segerbrant - juggling, dancing, masking and props,  Ewa J Kristeberg and Åsa Ericsson - both musicians, educators and composers

We have our roots in the creative activities in Angereds Kulturskola, where the singing together at Angereds Teater has played a big role in the work with the children. Generations of children have been able to share the joy of singing together.
