Henrik Kilhamn

Henrik Kilhamn is a meritorious and frequently hired concert pianist based in Gothenburg. He has an extensive repertoire ranging from Mozart and Beethoven to Ravel and Scriabin, and is mostly at home in the romantic era and composers such as Chopin and Brahms. His concerts are characterized by a high presence, intensity and interaction with the audience through presentations that frame the music and put it in a relevant context.
Henrik is also an active chamber musician and in 2017 was selected as a finalist in the Young & Promising competition with Duo Cellissimo. Today, he is regularly hired by major music institutions, chamber music associations and churches. He is one of the founders and chairman of the Pianosällskapet i Väst, an association and platform for young pianists in Western Sweden, and since 2019 also runs the Youtube channel Sonata Secrets with analyzes of piano music in video format, which has reached over 50 subscribers worldwide.
Henrik has bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Stage and Music in Gothenburg, where he studied with Bernt Wilhelmsson, and has also studied at Örebro School of Music and Newcastle University. He has received scholarships from the Royal Academy of Music, the Arts Council and most recently the City of Gothenburg's cultural grant in 2023.
