Pianist with brilliant technique and dynamics! Ha-Young's concerts are characterized by great energy and total presence. Her repertoire ranges from the great classical composers to contemporary works.

Helena Ha-Young started playing the piano at the age of 5 and has studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen, Royal Academy of Music in London and the Conservatory of Music in Geneva for prof. Jose Ribera, Christopher Elton and Dominique Merlet. She completed her piano studies with the highest meaning "Diplome de Soliste".

Already at a very young age she won several competitions in Sweden, Denmark and Germany. In Sweden, she has been awarded various awards such as the Ljunggrenska competition, Yamaha foundation, the Royal Academy of Music and others.

At the age of nine, she made her orchestral debut as a soloist in Haydn's piano concerto and as an 11-year-old she was chosen to represent Sweden as a soloist with the BRT Philharmonic Orchestra (Belgian Radio and Television). Since then, Ha-Young has given concerts in Germany, France, Israel, USA, South Korea and most recently toured in China and has been a soloist with e.g. the symphony orchestras in Malmö, Helsingborg, Geneva.

Helena Ha-Young is the founder and artistic director of the Gothenburg Piano Festival, piano educator and runs her own piano school and gives concerts and masterclasses. Ha-Young is active as a piano teacher and has been a tutor / accompanist at the Ingesund Academy of Music and Birger Sjöberg high school, Vänersborg.
