Forslund - Lindholm
Brazilian music in arrangements for marimba and woodwind!
Forslund - Lindholm consists of the marimbist Fia Forslund and the saxophonist Erika Lindholm. Based on the meeting between the instruments marimba, saxophone and Brazilian pífano flute, the duo focuses on different styles in Brazilian music as well as their own compositions. Both musicians are broadly active in ensembles and projects in different genres but meet in the love of Brazilian and Swedish music tradition. Fia and Erika met by chance on a dance floor in Rio de Janeiro in the spring of 2015 when they both lived in the city to study music. During the year in Brazil, the dream of a musical collaboration started and in 2019 the project finally became a reality!

The repertoire consists of Brazilian traditional songs and own compositions in arrangements where African, oriental and Nordic features influence the music. Here is playfulness and improvisation with two musicians from completely different musical backgrounds. Forslund-Lindholm has created a concert program full of both swinging dance joy and deep sound worlds, in a truly powerful instrument combination.
Erika Lindholm
Erika Lindholm works as a saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist and composer, active in jazz, world music and free improvisation. Erika has created and implemented the performance frameworks "Wallée Signalerar" and "Väntan i Vården". She composes for and runs the constellations "Mama Chajes Orkestar", "Dumheten", "Erika Lindholm quartet", "Forslund - Lindholm" and worked in the theater/dance productions "Boxaren" (Örebro) and "Brodera Mera" (Blekinge/ Kronoberg).
Fia Forslund
Fia is active as a soloist, theater musician and in various projects in classical music, jazz and world music. She has toured in the USA, Brazil, Germany and Scandinavia and played at many of Sweden's jazz, world and chamber music festivals. Fia has worked on projects at, among others, Scenkonst Sörmland, Musik Hallandia, Västmanlands Teater and Scenkonst Västernorrland. She is a jazz vibraphonist in the swing band Cats and Dinosaurs and a marimba player in the constellations Forslund - Lindholm and Tree Grove Marimba Duo.
