Erik Dahl Ensemble

Enveloping instrumental music that mixes jazz, chamber music and a touch of experimental rock.
Hopeful instead of dejected. Erik Dahl Ensemble explores feelings of loneliness and inadequacy on the upcoming album Everyone's Too Sad For Everything. It is enveloping instrumental music that mixes jazz, chamber music and a touch of experimental rock. The author Karin Tidbeck has described a concert like this: "An immersive, moving and fascinating experience. "
The Erik Dahl Ensemble began its journey with the work Gethenian Suite, an interpretation of Ursula K Le Guin's science fiction classic The Left Hand of Darkness.
Erik Dahl is a composer who combines different traditions into his own fusion. Strong melodic elements are combined with rich sounds, often with an extended form language. Recipient of the City of Gothenburg's Cultural Scholarship 2017.
