Rubinsztein/Karlsson is driven by a longing to make people want to dance! With their natural rawness and warm sensitivity, the duo dives deep into the traditional music from Värmland and the border areas to Norway. The arrangement of viola d'amore and viola d'amore+moraharpa creates a distinctive sound and the duo has together developed a tight, seamless playing. They take up where the older generation of musicians left the songs on and through their predecessors, archive recordings and sheet music, the material has taken shape.

The duo's debut album Värmland was nominated for a Grammy for folk music of the year 2024.
